Since this Groupspaces system seems to be handling all of our needs for a WEC website, I see no reason to keep maintaining the blog-style www.wecftl.com that was done with Wordpress. It was pretty, but far to complex to make it work for our needs. Groupspaces was built from the bottom up with clubs and membership management in mind.
So, on July 5, I plan to make a change (a simple redirect) so that entering www.wecftl.com into your browser will bring you straight here to our Groupspaces site. This will be both our public and our private website. If you're not logged in you can see the public items, but if you click on something private, like the Forum, you will be prompted to log in. There will still be a menu option to go to the "Old website" or "Blog" or you can type in www.wecftl.com/wordpress yourself to get to the last few years of content on our website.
Always changing, always improving.
If you have a newsletter item, you will still submit that to email@example.com and Susan Kingsley, or someone else from the committee, will either post it as an announcement here (like this), or keep it for inclusion in the monthly newsletter which will also be created here and then emailed to everyone.
If you have any questions, it would be great if you used the forum here (just click 'Forum' in the blue menu) to start a discussion. But, of course, you can always email me - Chris Guld - firstname.lastname@example.org

Chris is WEC's wandering webmaster. She lives in a motorhome and travels the country with her husband, Jim and her dog, Odie. Her business is Computer Training for Travelers. The following video shows some snippets from her recent 'Techno-Geek Learning Rally' where 20 RVs came together for a week to learn and have fun. http://youtu.be/Po9PfXq4upA
