April Luncheon
April 19 @ 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM
| Free – $55.00
In April we welcome our very own Rhoda Mae Kerr. Fresh into retire she will share some of her stories and tips on how best to “Stay Alive” in an emergency. Be sure to register for this upcoming Luncheon Event. You too will be humming Stayin Alive.
Rhoda Mae Kerr was sworn in as the City of Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue Chief on July 2, 2018. With the appointment, Kerr became the City’s first female Fire Chief in the 106-year history of the department. She oversaw a staff of more than 500 professional firefighters, ocean rescue lifeguards and administrative personnel and directed day-to-day operations for the fully accredited department.
After nearly 40 years in the fire service, Chief Kerr has chosen to “hang up her helmet” and in March 2023 joined the ranks of the retired. Deciding to spend her time pursuing her interests- enjoying pickleball, golf, tennis, skiing and traveling the world.
