March Luncheon
March 17 @ 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM
| Free – $45.00Turn your Greatest Challenge into your Biggest Asset! “I’m not letting autism slow me down” says a fifth-grader who knows all too well the reality of living with autism.
Join the WEC Members and guests as they welcome Carter Bonas of Coral Springs. Carter is a up-and-coming golfer who founded Spectrum Golf Apparel at the age of 10. He named his line of apparel “Spectrum Golf” because he is considered high functioning on the Autism Spectrum Scale. Carter created it because he feared no one would hire him because of his diagnosis. Those fears were real as Carter became the target of intense bullying due to his Autism. One day he expressed to his teachers: “I am going to kill myself if one more person bullies me.”
But, through his therapy and playing golf, he gained his confidence, which ultimately led him to designing his own line of golf apparel.
NOTE: Event will be held outside.
